Hello again Crystal lovers! Marco here. Are you ready to learn more about the power of healing crystals? Mainly how to care for the crystals so they can keep doing their job properly. Well you already know I use crystals for healing and gridding. If you noticed in my last post, I mentioned several crystals that I would use for gridding…(Take a look at my last blog posted here) Anyway each of those crystals had something in common, they all absorbed negative energy, but that doesn't mean the energy just goes away. Crystals have the innate ability to absorb and STORE energy since they resonate with energy. In other words, stone can re-release the energy it absorbs, and we don’t want the negative energy put right back in (do we?) So, most of those beautiful crystals you now have gridded in your space need to be cleansed regularly to keep doing their job correctly. Think of it this way, if you had to go to work 24/7, 365 days a year without a single day off how productive would you be? Why Cleanse Crystals? Crystals pick up all kinds of energy from the people and places around them. These energies can prevent the crystal from doing its job well. When you purchase a crystal or receive a crystal from someone else you should always cleanse them before you begin to use them. Have you ever bought a crystal for a specific purpose and it did its job well and you love it… but after a few months it just doesn't give your that same happy vibe? Well, the crystal needs to be cleansed. How to Cleanse Crystals There are a variety of ways to cleanse your crystals. However not all crystals can be cleansed the same way. One popular method to cleanse your crystals is to hold them under running tap water or salt water. (Heads up! Do not place selenite in water unless you want it to disintegrate...bye bye pretty crystal) Crystals that are not fragile or jointed, can be held underwater for a few seconds. Ok now here’s the tricky part….(just kidding) while holding the crystal underwater, think of all the negative energy being washed away and that the crystal is being re-energized. ![]() Now you may be wondering how on Earth you charge those fragile crystals, you know the ones I’m talking about....those beautiful crystals that feel like they are going to break apart as soon as you pick them up, well I'll let you in on the secret... Okay are you ready? Leave them in a bowl of rock salt or sea salt overnight. Then gently brush off all the salt in the morning. How easy is that? If you are lucky enough to live by the beach you could also bury your crystals in sand, fair warning though, remember to leave some sort of marker where you buried your crystals or some lucky beachcomber will have quite the treasure hunt! Now some crystals are even easier to care for and are self cleaning. (Perfect for those of you who are beginners and might not remember to cleanse your crystals….) Citrine, Kyanite, and Azeztulite are some of the self cleansing crystals. This means they do not hold on to the energies they absorb. There are also crystals that can be used to cleanse other crystals. Placing a carnelian or clear quartz with other crystals will cleanse them. How I Cleanse Crystals I use a variety of methods to cleanse my crystals. One method I have used is the light of the moon. Placing the crystals in the light of the Full Moons helps to recharge the crystals energy. Ultimately this method is great if you have a few crystals that can be safely placed outside without being damaged. I own quite a few crystals so taking them outside all the time to charge is not always easy. Now I typically use a large copper pyramid that I can place multiple crystals inside of. This is a pyramid I create with copper wire and copper pipes with an Orgonite Pyramid nestled on top. It’s great to use when I charge and cleanse a bunch of crystals at once.

That was such an informative blog of yours. I have no idea about crystals before. I thought that it is just a piece of thing that cannot be degraded through time. I have not heard of the energy it posses when it is handled by an individual. Thank you so much for sharing such an interesting fact about crystals. I also appreciated the way you shared your ways on how to clean this up. I will always keep this in mind.
